Since metallica is one of my top favorite bands I had a lot of fun recording this album and since I already knew a good amount of the music it helped a lot. I used a Gibson SG for recording and I also used a crazy very hot pick-upped Charvel lent to me from Robert. This guitar threw the distortion levels through the roof which is good because it’s Metallica right. I probably enjoyed recording hit the lights the most but I really really enjoyed recording some kind of monster as well because I like singing that one. The way we recorded it we only used a cable used for the rock band games and literally was all recorded with one single cable. No amps, no patch cords, no plugs, just one single rock band cable plugged in to the Mac and with that one single cable we pulled off quite a bit.
